The personal beginning
One For The Roadmap began as a dedication to Bhodi, Shaun, Louise, Lauren and Joel. Bhodi’s illustrated bedtime story—about a soul choosing a family—remains part of the site as the original keepsake.
The wider project takes a simple idea from that story: care and responsibility begin in close relationships, but they need not end there.
The project’s purpose
Modern life gives us extraordinary knowledge and connection, yet it can leave people isolated, divided and uncertain about what matters. The site gathers approachable starting points for thinking about relationships, community, nature, belief and responsibility.
Family and community
Family can take many forms. At its best, it teaches attention, reliability, repair and mutual responsibility. Those habits also matter in neighbourhoods and public life.
Nature and stewardship
Human life is inseparable from the living world. Stewardship means recognising consequences and obligations to those who will live after us.
Religion and philosophy
Traditions carry generations of insight and disagreement. They deserve respectful treatment without presenting faith claims as scientific conclusions or pretending that short articles settle profound questions.
Reflection and action
The goal is not passive inspiration. Useful ideas should help people listen, help, protect, participate and revise their thinking when evidence requires it.
